Andrew Gerle is a songwriter, librettist, author, and teacher based in NYC. His books, The Enraged Accompanist's Guide to the Perfect Audition and Music Essentials for Singers and Actors, have quickly become go-to references for students and working actors alike. As a musical theatre composer, his shows Meet John Doe, Gloryana, and The Tutor have earned him numerous awards including the Jonathan Larson Award, the Kleban Award, and a record four Richard Rodgers Awards. His latest shows include La Tempesta with legendary lyricist Tom Jones, and Whisper Darkly, an immersive electro-swing speakeasy show.
